Genesis: The Creation
A seven movement symphonic work inspired by the creation account in the Book of Genesis.
From the Composer
I believe that music is part of our DNA and can move us within the full spectrum of human emotion. Music is powerful and helps tell a story, our story and can paint vivid pictures inside of our imaginations.
My hope is that Genesis: The Creation will inspire people to dream big and listen to the sounds all around them. Let sound cause you to ponder the marvel of our Creator and life itself.
Genesis 1 begins with:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
This began the story of creation and of humanity.
